How do you describe a place that actually saves your life? It's something that's impossible to articulate. But I'll say it like this...the people that work at RCA Devon are angels. They care in a way that's hard for a non-addict or a non-alcoholic to understand, and it's because they know what it's like to be broken and lost like the patients that come through their program. I made more than a few trips there, and I was always welcomed with open arms. The facility is as nice and comfortable as you're going to find in any rehab in the Delaware Valley. I can never repay the people who work at RCA Devon. All I can do is pay it forward. If you're struggling with substance abuse or alcoholism go there, and you'll see what real compassion and empathy look like. I am forever grateful to the people who work there.

This was my first experience with a rehab center. RCA really made me feel welcome and heard. I left there with confidence that I would be able to continue with my recovery and have success. The alumni meetings and activities are so important and make me feel like I always have someone to turn to for support and encouragement. I am 3 years sober and very happy with my decision to come to RCA. Thank you so much!

"I recently completed the detox program, and I am genuinely impressed by the experience. From the moment I started, I felt supported by knowledgeable staff who truly cared about my well-being. The program was well-structured, incorporating a variety of healthy meals, engaging activities, and informative workshops that made the process enjoyable and enlightening.
One of the highlights for me was the personalized approach. The team took the time to understand my specific needs and goals, which made the detox feel tailored to me. I appreciated the blend of physical detoxification with mental wellness practices, such as yoga and meditation, which helped me feel rejuvenated both inside and out.
I noticed significant improvements in my energy levels, mood, and overall clarity after completing the program. It’s amazing how a focused detox can reset your body and mind. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to cleanse their system and embark on a journey toward better health. I left feeling empowered and equipped with the tools to maintain a healthier lifestyle moving forward.

(This is a long one) I’ve had my fair share of therapists before and each time it was a crash and burn situation. It never worked out for me, I always felt like it was too much. I pushed it off until it smacked me in the face. I can genuinely say EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER DOWN TO THE RECEPTIONISTS ( especially Kaela, dr. Nelson, Greg & Nicole for me) welcomed me with opened arms at a time I needed it most. I never not once felt judged nor put down. I was held accountable each step of the way and able to express myself. Each one of them taught me a lot about my triggers, my attachment styles, my anger, the work I had to put in on my self and just the really understanding and loving the overall person I am. They taught me to identify why I was using bad habits to cope with my feelings.
I really don’t have the words to explain how much they have helped me. If so I would be here all day. Let me try to sum it up.
I had never been to therapy long term(some therapists just wouldn’t call back). I had never been on medication for my mental health(I would gas light myself and create bad habits to cope). I was in therapy for about a year and a half with kaela, Greg and dr Nelson. Some days I wish I had never left(I moved out the state). Dr. Nelson always listened to me, he helped me understand what was going on mentally. During my time he worked with me to find medications that helped me function daily. It wasn’t easy but he never gave up and he never pushed me to take anything I didn’t like or want to be on. Greg helped me to look within. He taught me not to bottle up my emotions and how to express what I’m feeling in a better way than I was. I have to give my props to Kaela for dealing with me the longest tho. Instantly I clicked with her. She really sets the bar high when it comes to a therapist for me. She listened to me yap on and on and she didn’t make me feel like I was a burden with my weekly visits. I actually looked forward to going to my visits.. even when I went back on my word. She didn’t make me feel ashamed of myself(No one there did) She always remembered everything, even when I didn’t. She made me hold myself accountable for my actions, as she did also. I loved that about her most. She didn’t let me slip. She helped me realize why I was doing certain things or why I was reacting the way I would and what they could’ve stemmed from. Other therapists didn’t do what they did for me mentally, even spiritually. Everyone at Caron is like a family to me at this point. I recommend everyone to come to Caron. All my friends, family, strangers. They made me realize therapy and asking for help wasn’t bad after all. If you needed a sign. This is it.

Completing inpatient on the hill was a great experience. However, being at the outpatient building has been the best experience for me this far in my recovery. The staff is welcoming, understanding, and professional at all times. I have been attending regular groups since September, 2021. My groups consisted of ways to cope with my Mental Health and Addiction struggles.
The outpatient Supervisior, Erin L. assisted me in helping a family member into treatment. Her compassion to help others Is top priority. Her leadership with staff and clients are among the best. She is an authentic version of Servant Leadership.
The staff is organized and professional at all times. The therapists care Care for their clients. Every time I have interacted with the staff has been pleasant. My Journey to this point has consisted of 3 rehabs(not court ordered), 2 DUIs, as well as LOTS of good times, lots of travel, the best Friends and Family! A valuable life worth living! A true Alcoholic that should never ever hold or pick up a drink! Unfortunately now I'm plagued with Kidney and Liver Disease. However I need this service for 3 months to possibly get on the Kidney Transplant List. I have grown to truly enjoy Kyle's IOP group. I look forward to it and miss it on Wednesdays and Fridays. Kyle has opened my eyes and nudged me to attend meetings. My answer turned from NO thank you, to I will give AA meetings a go. Keep in mind that I have been in and out of the Program for 20+ years. Guess what? I am enjoying AA meetings now! I dreaded them before. I am grateful to Kyle and his group for pushing me to my next step in Recovery. Such a blessing!! I had the best experience at Eagleville in regards to the therapist, Miss Bonnie & Miss Elonda. Miss Bonnie was my therapist and she truly goes above & beyond not only for her clients but for any client that needs an ear to listen or advice on a situation. Her door was always open and still is even though I am no longer there. I just celebrated a year clean and Miss Bonnie plays a huge part in that. She helped me to grow in ways I never thought I could but because of how genuine she is I felt comfortable to open up and I respect her in so many ways and because of that I was able to open up and deal with things I didn't think I could. I had to end a really toxic relationship and Miss Bonnie sat with me just because she knew I needed the support. She will always hold a special place in my heart. On another note..... our case manager on the woman's side, Lordess unfortunately did not contribute these same caring characteristics. On many occasions Miss Bonnie would assist with situations that were for Lordess but we went to Miss Bonnie because we knew she would get it done because she cares about the well being of her clients. If I wouldn't have taken the initiative to find a recovery house I would've been discharged to the street. Also I filled out 2 applications. 1 for my social security card and 1 for my Birth Certificate and 3 months later I still do not have them. I believe that Eagleville, Cedar building needs a case manager that is going to care and participate in the clients well being as much as Miss Bonnie and Miss Elonda.

My son recently completed a 12-month treatment program at the Manor of Hope and his recovery from substance use issues is nothing short of miraculous due largely in part to the care he received at the Manor from Steve Killelea and his staff of highly skilled counselors. Every parent's nightmare is watching your kid battle the demons that mental illness and drugs unleash on them. Long care treatment facilities like the Manor work better to treat addiction than the short-term, for-profit institutions that fail more often than not to help those suffering from these illnesses. My current relationship with my son is night and day as Steve has helped to guide him into adulthood. Steve not only helped my son but counseled my wife and I on how to deal with my boy as he transitions back to family life. I am profoundly grateful and thankful to have crossed paths with Steve and the Manor of Hope and highly recommend the long-term care and treatment programs that the Manor can offer to those suffering from addiction and mental illness.

The Manor of Hope is making a huge difference in our son’s life. We were desperate and needed help for our son, who is on the autistic spectrum. Steve took our son under his wing, and now he is learning how to live independently, slowly but surely. We did not think an independent life would be possible for him. Steve and our son’s mentor, along with the other staff are teaching him skills that will last a lifetime. He recently was hired for a part-time job and is enrolled in a college course. The professionals that Steve have connected our son with, such as his psychiatrist and therapist, are excellent.
The Manor of Hope has so many opportunities. Our son is learning how to cook through a weekly culinary class. He is taking care of a garden, and has a personal trainer and is working out on a regular basis He is always busy which is great for him. He also has structure. They take him on day trips and excursions. Our son is enjoying life and is happy.
We are so thankful we have found Steve and the Manor of Hope. We were at the end of a very dark path and didn’t know where to turn. Our son’s life is now full, and he is growing and maturing every day. He is respectful towards us and is learning boundaries. All things we couldn’t have achieved when he was home. He needs the Manor of Hope and he is also grateful for his time there.

I recently completed treatment at malvern (king road location) the facility is decent , they seem to keep it very clean and so do most of the patients . I gave a solid 4 stars because of these factors:
the grounds are nice they provide a decent sized walking trailer , they have outdoor games and activities that everyone who is able can get involved, they have decent sitting areas . The food was okay, some days the meal choices were odd, like grilled cheese and Italian wedding soup for lunch then burgers with tomato soup for dinner , alas it was still tasty. The staff were great ,they all seemed to actually give a damn , and I cant tell you how many positive things they say throughout the day.( Lynnwood, doreen,Justin, Evan, Katie, Kristie, Jen, Matt, Charles, Shaun) my small list of people who made my stay worth while . Along with my counselor Maddie putting in the extra 10 percent to make me comfortable during my time there. The negative factors, there isn't much curriculum, I think the patients would benefit from more book work , I have done tc program in state prison and while there was a lot of book work it helped me greatly understand myself more and learn how to practice healthy coping skills and positive self talk , even how to adjust my core beliefs. All that from having to do some book work . In malvern most of the groups are just open floor discussions, not much is done to help people change the negative self talk they impose , or better yet give them a solution to there problem . I have several years sober before I relapsed and I would often re read my books from TC. SO a more structured tc like programming there may be very beneficial. Further more there is a lot of favoritism going on within the facility which seems to cause push back with patients and there is also alot of fornication taking place which is often lot ho several times before the individuals are removed from the program. Maybe using the advantage of several facilities, and further separation by age would be best. It seems the younger individuals are more interested in the sex acts then the older ones. But all in all the place wasnt bad id love to apply for a job there to also help people and even help make the place better one day . My advice is if you go , your small group is the best group to share in .

I’ve been a patient at Holcomb Behavioral Health for almost 4yrs.
I have never had an issue with anyone and I can be a difficult person. I’m a Gemini ♊️ so my evil twin is always trying to peek out to take over.
My therapist has helped my family and I tremendously! The receptionist - OMG! I haven’t seen her since the pandemic but when I have to physically go into Holcomb this awesome lovely lady always ask me about my son and ask how I’m doing.
I Love Holcomb for more reasons than that. I Love Holcomb because they help me navigate through life when life kicks me down. Holcomb changed my life and my children's live for the better. I feel bad that other people's comments are judgmental. I think that people are so closed minded now & days. So, if you’re a patient at Holcomb then don’t give up! Because I swear I recommend this life changing facility to anyone that needs mental health support.
I wish everyone the best on their journey. GOD Bless You All! 🙏🏾

I did not attend therapy here, because they were completely booked for months. Very busy practice. However, I spent 15 minutes on the phone with Nina, and she gave me expert referrals. Her customer service skills are incomparable: thank you!
