I have nothing but positive things to say about Seafield. It basically saved my life and has guided me to a much healthier and happier way of living. I have 1 year sober, and I give much credit to this facility for getting me so where I am today. From the West Hampton rehabilitation center, to the women’s sober house, to the outpatient counseling and meetings, it has been nothing short of wonderful and life changing. I was so lost and giving up on life and a few good suggestions brought me here. Everyone from the friar in charge of the inn to security and maintenance made me feel welcome. The counselors are the best I’ve ever dealt with. My counselor was amazing, the physco therapist helped me realize things on my own and a former resident who is now staff related to my issues making me comfortable with the process. That guy was a godsend. These people helped me with my addiction issues more in 6 months then I’ve been able to do over the last 30 years. I now have hope and a blueprint that I follow to live a life in recovery. I could never thank them enough

This place completely saved my life, it taught me a new way to live and that I am a man, worthy of love and respect. Since there, in 2017, I had one slip up about a year after I graduated, but that was almost 8 years ago now. Since then, I went to welding school, they set me up in a halfway house in NYC, moved back home to Rochester, NY. I was skeptical at first because of the public reviews but I was so happy with the service a very close family member received here. Staff is so attentive, so easy to reach with questions and concerns and the social worker (Justin) was always available when I needed him and incredibly helpful. The food is really good, the staff was very kind, the meds that were prescribed are making an obvious difference in my family members life. I would recommend this hospital to anyone seeking mental help.

My daughter has autism as severe as it gets! She stayed at this hospital over a month and the staff there worked so hard to get her at her baseline. I forgot to mention she is 31 years old which makes the task even harder, her being set in her own ways. I brought her home until she will eventually go to a group home. We had the best night that I have had in years with my daughter and I . I’m so grateful to the st. Vincent staff for what they done. Staff really took care of my child! I’m so very grateful. She was always showered and taken cared of and that really impressed me cause she is incontinent and isn’t able to take care of herself. ❤️ grateful parent

The best clinic experience I’ve ever had. The registration people on the 1st floor need attitude adjustments- you can tell this is a unionized workforce- all else was amazing. Most secretaries are excellent- a couple seem miserable- overall 5 stars for quality care by the people I need to be good at what they do- therapists and doctors- they are wonderful!

Everything about New Horizon is wonderful! I have been going to New Horizon for over a year and have always had a great experience. I completed treatment here with Gianna who is on the 3rd floor , I must say when I initially started I didn’t think I was going to get much out of it and I had A LOT going on in my personal life. Gianna was the breath of fresh air I needed, she was warm, welcoming and made me feel so comfortable talking to her and telling her what I’ve been dealing with. I spent a month at their PHP program. I can’t express enough how grateful I am for literally all of the staff at the hospital. The intake team worked so fast and made me already feel like I was in good hands. The therapists were incredible, that is saying more than you could know coming from me. Each one had their own style and strengths and collectively produced a therapy experience that no individual therapist could possible provide; they had an entourage effect of sorts. We only knew the “interns” were interns because they told us. The psychiatric team was compassionate, extremely advanced (objectively), I have very strong opinions about psychiatry and honestly all three psychiatrists were a standard well above what I could have expected. The kitchen staff was kind and the food was good for cafeteria food. The hospital helped find transportation for me and could not have been more supportive and accommodating. I’m getting emotional writing this because I didn’t really believe such a place existed, and to know that there actually is good quality help, for someone whose been seeking it for a long time, challenged my jaded perspectives in a very positive way. I see the negative reviews and it makes sense that people; patients and supportive family, going through a difficult time might find frustration as healing is in no way linear; but I can say with confidence that you and your loved ones are taking a really good shot with Saint Vincents

The food is really good, the staff was very kind, the meds that were prescribed are making an obvious difference in my family members life. I would recommend this hospital to anyone seeking mental help.

My daughter has autism as severe as it gets! She stayed at this hospital over a month and the staff there worked so hard to get her at her baseline. I forgot to mention she is 31 years old which makes the task even harder, her being set in her own ways. I brought her home until she will eventually go to a group home. We had the best night that I have had in years with my daughter and I . I’m so grateful to the st. Vincent staff for what they done. Staff really took care of my child! I’m so very grateful. She was always showered and taken cared of and that really impressed me cause she is incontinent and isn’t able to take care of herself. ❤️ grateful parent

I have found a great therapist and nurse practitioner in Chris and Siji. They are friendly and truly care about my progress. Together we have explored TREATMENT plans ..... giving me the discipline to tackle my BIPOLAR and ALCOHOLIC issues. I have been a patient since September 2019 and looking at a brighter 2020 thanks to The Yaphank Center.

I attended M.H. in July 1980 I was in group 5. My group was awesome It was a little scary run by nuns and being Lutheran and not a church person but I did it. Made friends there but lost contact with some but 1 friend we keep in touch through FB. M.H. was I place I needed at the time. You go to school so we wore uniforms no biggie. When I was there it wasn't a bad place I mean I missed my family but I needed help. I don't know what it's like now but it's what you put into it to make it work.

Living nightmare. Only good thing that came out of going to school here back in 2001 was learning to stand up for myself in a more vigorous and protective way due to all the toxic situations I had to go through here especially with the teachers. They were horrible towards me as well as a lot of the other students. One teacher specifically would put me down so bad that my parents had to step in and have a meeting to have me transferred out of that teacher's class and into another class. Such a cruel environment. I don't know how it is now but my experience was horrific back then.

Bathrooms are always locked, food is the worst, no therapy, patient rooms are locked from 9am through 2pm....so if you need to lay down while recuperating-- you're out of luck. Nothing to keep you hydrated, unless a doctor prescribed Gatorade....and then only a little bit each day. Coffee offered at 6am...empty with 15 minutes....then again, you're out of luck. Staff treats patients like idiot children....chastising them on a daily basis., I suggest avoiding that place like the plague. And to top it off, I was informed on my way out that I owe them "lots and lots of money"! They should be lucky to get money from my insurance company. They're lucky I don't sue them for malpractice....total waste of time and money. I had to give them 1 star, or I couldn't post this.

My daughter went here for detox. The nurses on that unit, mainly Raquel Williams, was horrible! No patience, no empathy or kindness. If you ask her for something, you were told to wait, and she would always say "I'm only one person". If you can't do your job effectively and properly, maybe you shouldn't be working in this field. People go here for help not to be treated like they're criminals or a burden. I called and left multiple messages for a case worker or supervisor to call me and no one bothered to return my calls. My daughter was left alone to detox, her roommate was the only person to help her. These places are supposed to be structured to help ease the detox process, not make it more of a nightmare. DO NOT GO HERE OR SEND YOUR LOVED ONES!

I went through all three phases at Turnbridge almost 9 years ago and have maintained my sobriety and forward momentum since. I had been through multiple short-term treatment episodes prior to Turnbridge, and my sobriety was always short-lived after discharging. Turnbridge's three phases, which helped me get back on my feet with school and a job while remaining in a community of friends with structure, proved to be what I needed at the time. I am beyond grateful for the life I have today, and - though I would have been hesitant to admit it at the time - eternally grateful to my parents for finding Turnbridge and refusing to buy in to my pleas for another short-term option.

Even if I didn't believe I needed treatment when I entered Turnbridge, slowly I began working through my issues and realized that there were a lot of things that were holding me back. All of the staff were great and were always there for me. I'm so grateful for the time I spent here.
