Underfunded essential service with some living saints and some people who should consider a career change. I have mixed feelings with my time at cove care. I previously had a review up decrying them as a den of racists. At the time that was an accurate description of my experience. I went through 3 or 4 case managers. For the first year I was patient and polite. My messages were ignored and my case managers didn’t follow through. I was in profound physical and emotional pain and lost my composure. I would scream and hurl profanities and accusations of discrimination, all of a sudden the help I needed got accomplished in hours not weeks. In retrospect I wish I could have used diplomatic reminders. But I was not able to think clearly through the pain. After a while I landed with a social worker who was the first person actually qualified to deal with my issues. Rather than ignoring me or dismissing my emotions as irrational he reached into the heart of the pain. He treated me with compassion and unwavering understanding. He took the time to hear me out and validate my experiences. Chris treated me as a human and not a problem, something I hadn’t experienced in over a decade. Over time through observations and piecing together comments I came to understand the problem at Cove Care. If you’re reading this you are in Putnam county so you know exactly what kind of place Carmel is. You’ve seen the victims of trauma wandering around in a haze, you’ve probably seen me. For many of us Cove Care is the only game in town. Can you imagine the workload? Do you think Putnam county is forthcoming with financial support? I’ve seen the job postings online, I know what their receptionists get paid. I’ve heard about programs that had to be shuttered and resources that have had to be rolled back. Cove Care accelerated my emotional and psychological degradation. I had one therapist whose callous treatment of me sent me into a depressive spiral. My case managers’ open contempt of me completely nuked my trust in them. One even sent me a text message complaining about me that she had meant to send to her supervisor. But. CoveCare also saved me. Chris reached into the hell scape of my mind ignoring the flames licking his arms and helped me pull myself out. Dr. Branson my prescriber never treated me with anything other than straight forward respect. Never talking down to me or giving a condescending flippant answer. I am on the path to healing. I have a chance to finally live a life. I am far away from the environment that destroyed me and robbed me of my humanity. I will never forgive some of the people at cove care. But I will forget them. But at the same time I will never forget the ones who put a firm hand on my shoulder and treated me with respect and kindness. Whoever you are, I wish you good fortune and hope you find who you need.

I only completed the program today, but High Focus was the best experience of my life, truly, and I cannot recommend and speak more highly of it enough. The clinicians are amazing at their jobs and they truly care about the work they are doing and about the group members. The lessons are extremely helpful, especially if you really take them in and High Focus provides all of the tools you need to learn distress tolerance, emotional regulation, coping skills, etc. Jade, Caryn, Taylor, Kellie, Kendall, Ashley, and Cassidy are all absolutely amazing clinicians and I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for me and the impact High Focus has made on my life. If you, or anyone you know, is struggling, I absolutely recommend contacting the Freehold location to schedule an intake. I am truly not just saying this, but if I did not find High Focus, I am not sure where I would be at mentally and emotionally right now. Even the APN is absolutely fantastic and will help get you stabilized if medication is needed, and Donna at the front desk is fantastic, too! The entire staff here are absolute angels and in comparison to other PHP/IOP programs available, High Focus is the best around! If you are struggling with just mental health, there is a track for that, but also if you are struggling with substance use/mental health, there is also a track for that which I think sets HF apart from any other program. I cannot thank the team enough for the impact they’ve made on my life, which I will always be grateful for, and for the confidence I have gained from attending here and knowing that I CAN continue on this path, but also knowing that they are always there if I need more support in the future. :)

I was a Patient there for approximately 9 months. A Wonderful Atmosphere and you’re surrounded by ppl who Really Care. Especially the Counselors, My Counselor in Particular. Her Name was Jenn. A Wonderful Person and an Absolute Dear young Lady. She was Extremely informative and Knows just how to make you feel Comfortable and Cared For. I was going through a Rough patch, but looked Forward to my meetings with her every week and Every time I left her office, I ALWAYS FELT BETTER AND FELT LIKE SOMEONE CARED.. I can Honestly Say, Meeting Jenn was a Highlight of my Time there. I only left there because I found a place Much Closer to my home out East. But my Counselor there will always be close to my heart. And I Thank Her Dearly. All in all, a Wonderful Place to Get Clean and Stay Clean 👍🏻😁

Most my son got from here was a winter coat that first didnt fit and an exchange for a larger size but different brand that was way to big. Never, ever use this company! We had a case worker for both of our children since February 2023, and they did absolutely nothing to help them. Not only did 1 child in April end up inpatient psych due to suicidal thoughts unfortunately my other child succumbed to his addiction and passed away in June 2023. They look at you as a number, they promise the world and help but never do anything. My son who was 16 was told he didn’t have to tell his father or I ANYTHING and that he had rights. Ultimately pushing him into his death. 0/10. Would never recommend this company to ANYONE.

Starting from the very top level people in Human Resources, to my Nurse Practitioner and my awesome Social Worker (Therapist) BEST has saved me, from myself! Went there around 2013. I didn't stay clean after, but I didn't want to. They had a zero tolerance for drugs so the sober houses were actually clean and if someone used they'd be kicked out. The classes were long but not terrible. Ellen was great. Only thing was the sober house was in the HOOD HOOD where we had a crack dealer on our corner, prostitues 100ft away, and coke being sold out the barbershop lol.

This review is long overdue. Today marks five years of sobriety, and when I reflect on my journey, KPC shines as a crucial part of my success. The support, education, and care I received there were instrumental in helping me understand the root causes of my substance abuse and providing me with the tools to address them. We often take time to write negative reviews, but I want to share my positive experience. Five years later, I can confidently say that choosing KPC was one of the best decisions of my life. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking help.

I went here for two and a half years. Every single week I came and the last 2 months I’ve been treated like garbage. My doctor completely stopped treating me and only pushed medicine on me. My long term goal was to handle my bipolar without medicine, but instead they increased my dose. Whenever I had a real issue they just gave me more medicine instead of properly taught me how to handle my emotions and problems as I grew. The last two months no one responded to my calls or emails. When I said I no longer want this person as my counselor they said they couldn’t help. They didn’t even offer to help me in anyway, nor ask what happened or how to fix the issue. What started as a good counseling session to help me, turned Into 45 minutes wasted with them being too tired to even answer my once a week email. What was supposed to be an hour long session turned into 30 minutes and they still charged me the full amount. Then started charging me fees without telling me. Suddenly one day they said I owed $200, meanwhile I have insurance and no payments were part of that. It was always the counselor telling me their issues and the doctor just asking what I needed. I had to go to the doctor every single month for the past 2 1/2 years because they don’t do linger scripts? Even though what I take isn’t a controlled substance. Screw this place. Only nice people were the desk girls and even they fought with the counselors over petty drama. Find another place, it’s always crowded and their group therapy is always the same guy who doesn’t let anyone else talk. Good luck thank you for reading

Sunrise cherry hill was a godsend. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Unfortunately I've stayed at quite a few other facilities and NEVER was treated with such respect and kindness that she treated me with. She deserves a raise lol! On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am. Im just lucky im not someone who is WAY more fragile and sensitive amd nothing terrible happened 🥺

If I could make this place zero stars, I would. The nurses and some technicians (Nana and Brian) were great, however, the counselors (Carolyn, and Steve) had no idea what they were doing, and the “clinical director” left the staff with nothing (phone cards, money cards.) I understand why this place has filed for bankruptcy.
